Options

Entrants in seed order, one per line
Use 2–16 distinct entrants. Byes fill the next power of two.

Supported inputs and limits

Enter 2–16 unique entrant names, up to 20 basic printable English characters each. Accents, emoji and other scripts are refused by this export. The next power of two determines slot count; empty slots become byes and advance a present entrant without a played match. The PDF labels match sources but does not simulate winners, update automatically during play, choose a seed algorithm or set match times. In double elimination, G2 is conditional: use it only when the lower finalist wins G1.

Where your input is processed

Seeding and byes affect the path through the bracket

The entrant order is a seeding order, not a random draw. Empty slots complete the next power-of-two bracket, so a bye can advance an entrant without a played match. Check the pairing layout before announcing fixtures; changing the input order later can change the tournament path.

Use the reset final only when required

In the supported double-elimination layout, the upper finalist arrives without a loss. If the lower finalist wins G1, G2 supplies the reset match. If the upper finalist wins G1, the reset is unused. Enter results manually using the match references; the PDF does not automatically advance names or adjudicate event rules.

Questions about Tournament Bracket Generator

Why does my bracket contain byes?

A bracket needs 2, 4, 8 or 16 slots. If your entrant count is between those sizes, the unused slots are byes and the opponent advances without a played match.

When do we play the reset final?

Only if the lower bracket finalist beats the upper bracket finalist in G1. Each side then has one loss, so G2 decides the title.

Are entrants shuffled?

No. The page uses the order you enter. Change that order before generating if you want different first-round pairings.
