Two to twenty PDF files. Use Up and Down to set the order.

The merged file is saved under this name with a .pdf extension.

    How to use Merge PDF

    1. Select your files in the PDF files field. Two files are the minimum.
    2. Drag the file rows, or use Up and Down, to set the page order.
    3. Select Merge and wait while the pages are copied.
    4. Download merged.pdf and open it to check the page order.

    Example: Merge PDF

    Combine a two-page PDF with a three-page PDF.

    You add
Two PDF files, one with 2 pages and one with 3 pages, listed in that order.
    You get
One PDF named merged.pdf with 5 pages. The pages of the first file stay together and come first.

    Options

    PDF files
The order of the list is the order of the pages, and the pages of one file stay together. A two-page cover placed first contributes pages 1 and 2.
    Output file name
Names the download. The default merged becomes merged.pdf; the .pdf extension is added automatically.

    Supported inputs and limits

File countUp to 20 PDF files per run
File size100 MiB each, 200 MiB in total
PagesUp to 1,000 pages across all inputs
Up to 20 PDF files, 100 MiB each, 200 MiB in total, and 1,000 pages across all inputs. A job over the page budget stops before any page is copied, so two 600-page files are refused with the real total. Password-protected PDFs are refused rather than opened. Page content is copied without re-encoding, so text, images and vector drawing keep their quality, but document-level data is not carried over: bookmarks, embedded files, form field definitions, document JavaScript and digital signatures stay in the source files, and the result names the inputs that had them.

What a merged PDF keeps and what it leaves behind

Pages and their content move across, so the merged document looks like its sources. Everything that describes the document as a whole does not. A bookmark points into a page tree that no longer exists, a form field definition belongs to one document, an embedded attachment has no place in the new container, and a digital signature covers the exact bytes that a merge rewrites. Treat a merged file as a new document and check anything you rely on by hand.

    Questions about Merge PDF

Does merging keep my bookmarks and form fields?

No. Bookmarks, embedded files, form fields and digital signatures describe a document as a whole and are not copied into the merged file. The result tells you which inputs had them so you can rebuild the ones that matter.

Why was my PDF refused as password protected?

An encrypted file cannot be read or counted, and quietly stripping the password would change your document. Remove the password in your PDF reader, save the unprotected copy, then merge that.

What order do the pages end up in?

The order of the file list. Drag a row to a new position, or use its Up and Down buttons. Each file contributes all of its pages before the next file starts.

How large will the merged file be?

It depends on the inputs. Nothing is re-encoded, so the total is the copied page content plus a new document structure. The result reports the merged file size.
