How to use Multiple PDF Pages per Sheet
- Add one PDF. Its pages are placed in the order they appear.
- Choose how many pages go on each sheet and what size the sheet is.
- Set the margin around the sheet and the gutter between the pages.
- Select Arrange sheets and download the arranged PDF.
Example: Multiple PDF Pages per Sheet
Turn a five-page PDF into two 4-up A4 sheets.
Options
- Pages per sheet
- 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16. The grid follows the sheet orientation, so 2 pages is 1 across by 2 down in portrait and 2 across by 1 down in landscape.
- Margin and gutter
- The margin is the blank border around the sheet. The gutter is the space between two neighbouring pages. Both are measured in points, and 72 points equal one inch.
- Reading order
- Across each row fills left to right and then moves down, the way a page reads. Down each column fills top to bottom and then moves across, which suits tall content.

How the scaling works
Each source page is turned into an embedded copy of its visible area, then scaled by the same factor on both axes until it fits the slot. A portrait page in a landscape slot is limited by the slot height; a wide page in a square slot is limited by the slot width. Because the factor is the same on both axes, text keeps its shape, and the only cost is a smaller printed size. Raising the margin or the gutter makes every slot smaller, which shrinks the pages further.
Questions about Multiple PDF Pages per Sheet
Will the pages be cut off at the edges?
No. Every page is scaled down until it fits inside its slot with its shape unchanged. If a page has a wide white border you want gone, crop it first, then arrange the cropped file.
How do I get two pages side by side on a landscape sheet?
Choose 2 as the pages per sheet and Landscape as the orientation. The grid becomes 2 across by 1 down, so the two pages sit next to each other.
Why is the copy not signed like my original?
Arranging copies the page content into a new document, and a digital signature covers the exact original bytes. The summary names any signature it found, so you know to keep the original for signing.
Do the form fields still work in the result?
No. The arranged file keeps what each page draws, not the interactive fields. Fill or flatten the form on the original first, then arrange that version.
What happens to a blank page in the middle?
Its slot is kept so the reading order stays correct, and the summary lists the pages that had no content stream. The sheet simply has that one empty position.
