One PDF file, up to 1,000 pages.

Used for the range mode. Example: 1-3, 5, 8-10 gives three files.

Optional. Leave empty to use the original file name.

    How to use Split PDF

    1. Select your document in the PDF file field.
    2. Choose a Split mode: One PDF per page or One PDF per range I type.
    3. If you chose ranges, type them in Page ranges, for example 1-3, 5.
    4. Optionally type a Part name to replace the source name in the output files.
    5. Select Split, then download the ZIP or the single PDF.

    Example: Split PDF

Split a two-page PDF into one file per page.

    You add
report.pdf with 2 pages, Split mode set to One PDF per page.
    You get
Two single-page PDFs inside a ZIP named after the source file and ending in -parts.zip.

    Options

    Split mode
One PDF per page makes one file for every page. One PDF per range I type keeps each comma-separated entry as its own file, so 1-3, 5 produces two files rather than one.
    Part name
Replaces the source name in the output file names. Leave it empty and the original name is used, so report.pdf becomes report-pages-1-3.pdf.

    Supported inputs and limits

File sizeOne PDF up to 100 MiB
Pages per PDFUp to 1,000 pages
OutputEach entry its own file; per-page mode returns a ZIP
One PDF up to 100 MiB and 1,000 pages. Pages are numbered from 1, so 0 is refused, and a range that runs past the last page is refused with the real count rather than quietly trimmed. Each comma-separated entry becomes its own file, so overlapping entries repeat pages: 1-3, 2-4 produces two files that both contain pages 2 and 3. Per-page mode returns a ZIP, and any run that yields exactly one file returns that PDF directly. Part files keep page content, but document-level bookmarks, forms, signatures and embedded files are not recreated in the parts.

One file per page or one file per range

One PDF per page suits a flat scan you want to file item by item, and it names the parts page-001, page-002 and further, which sorts correctly in a folder listing. One PDF per range I type suits handing out sections, and it names each part after the pages inside it, such as pages-1-3. Both modes copy the requested pages into fresh documents, so every part opens in any PDF reader as a normal file with no dependency on the original.

    Questions about Split PDF

What does a range like 1-3, 5 produce?

Two documents. The first holds pages 1, 2 and 3, the second holds page 5. Commas, semicolons and line breaks all separate entries, and each entry becomes one file.

Why was my page range rejected?

Ranges outside the document are refused with the real page count, for example 1-9 on a five-page file comes back as a refusal naming those five pages. Check the document length, then retype the range.

Can I keep the original file name?

Yes. Leave Part name empty and each output uses the source name plus the pages it holds. Typing a Part name swaps the base name for yours while the page suffix stays.

Are bookmarks kept in the parts?

No. A bookmark, a form field and a signature describe the whole document, so a part generally cannot carry them. The result lists what the source had before you split it.
