How to use PDF Page Size Converter

    1. Add one PDF. Each page is measured the way a reader shows it.
    2. Choose the new paper size and, if you want it, a fixed orientation.
    3. Pick Fit inside to keep the shape, or Stretch to fill when the page must reach every edge.
    4. Select Resize pages and download the converted copy.

    Example: PDF Page Size Converter

Turn a scan set with narrow pages into clean A4 sheets with a small margin.

    You add
A three-page PDF whose pages are 200 x 300 points. New page size: A4. Orientation: Portrait. Scaling: Fit inside, keep the shape. Margin: 12 points. Pages to convert: left empty so every page is used.
    You get
The result reports Converted 3 pages to A4 portrait and downloads scan-a4.pdf with three 595 x 842 point pages, each holding one drawing centred with a 12 point margin.

    Options

    Orientation
Match each source page keeps a landscape scan landscape. A fixed Portrait or Landscape forces every page the same way, which suits a mixed set that must end up uniform.
    Scaling
Fit inside scales the page by one factor on both axes until it fits, so nothing is cropped and text keeps its shape. Stretch to fill uses a separate factor for width and height, which fills the page but can distort circles and letterforms.
    Margin in points
Blank space added inside every new page. 72 points equal one inch, so 36 points is half an inch. A margin that leaves too little room is refused with the calculated limit.

File sizeOne PDF per run, up to 100 MiB
Pages per PDFUp to 200 pages
Paper sizesA3 to A5, B5, Letter, Legal, Tabloid, Executive
One PDF per run, up to 100 MiB and 200 pages. Each page is embedded from its own visible CropBox and its stored rotation is honoured, so a turned page does not come out sideways. The result is a new document built from page content: a form is refused with a message to flatten it first, and links, comments, highlights and signatures are not carried, which the summary states when it finds them. A page with no content stream becomes a blank page of the new size and is listed in the summary.

What happens to the page boxes

A PDF page can carry several boxes: the MediaBox, which is the full sheet, and the CropBox, which is the region a reader shows. This tool embeds the CropBox, so the visible area is what moves to the new page. That matters for scans produced by a document feeder, where the MediaBox is often a little larger than the paper and a few millimetres of noise sit outside the CropBox; resizing from the visible region keeps that noise out of the result.

Questions about PDF Page Size Converter

Will my content be cropped when it does not match the new page?

No. Fit inside shrinks the whole page until it fits inside the margin box, so the full page stays visible with extra blank space on the shorter axis. Stretch to fill is the option that changes the shape, and it warns about distortion.

Why is a landscape page still landscape?

Auto orientation follows the source page, so the new page takes the same shape and the content does not shrink to half height. Choose Portrait or Landscape instead when the set must be uniform.

Why was my filled form refused?

A rebuilt document carries page content, not the widget appearances that hold a filled answer, so the resized copy could look blank. Flatten the form into the page first, then resize that flattened file.

Does the file get bigger or smaller?

Usually it grows a little, because each source page becomes an embedded copy inside the new document. The size depends on the artwork, and the summary reports the page list rather than a promised saving.
