How to use Parametric Solid STL Builder
- Choose cuboid or cylinder and enter millimeter dimensions.
- Set the supported cylinder segment count when applicable.
- Download the mesh and inspect its dimensions and slice preview in your own printing application.
Example: Parametric Solid STL Builder
Export a bounded cuboid or polygonal cylinder as binary STL, with dimensions and mesh-integrity checks.
Options
- Cylinder segments
- A cylinder uses flat triangular facets. More segments give a finer polygonal approximation within the finite limit.
- Units
- The entered dimensions are millimeters. STL itself does not store a measurement-unit label, so set the same units when importing.
Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
A valid surface mesh is only one printing input
Closed edges, outward winding and positive volume check the generated geometry. They do not choose layer height, material, supports or printer settings. Inspect the imported scale and sliced preview in the application you use before a physical print.
Questions about Parametric Solid STL Builder
Does STL store millimeters?
No. Entered values use millimeters, but the importing application must use that same interpretation.
Is the cylinder perfectly smooth?
It is a polygonal approximation controlled by segment count.
Does a mesh check guarantee printing?
No. Scale, slicing, material and printer setup remain separate.
