Build pattern controls

One tile repeats across the whole drawing, so neighbouring edges meet exactly.

Edge length of one tile. The export is sized in millimetres for printing.

Tiles across. Columns × rows must stay within 2,500 tiles.

Decorations stay inside their tile, so they never break the repeat.

Adds a thin edge between tiles for a mosaic look.

How to use Procedural Tessellation SVG Maker

  1. Choose the tile shape, physical edge size and repeat counts.
  2. Set the supported motif, palette and outline options.
  3. Download the SVG and inspect its edges and dimensions in your intended viewer.

Example: Procedural Tessellation SVG Maker

Create a bounded repeating geometric SVG with chosen tile shape, motif, size and palette.

You add
Tile shape: square Tile edge (mm): 20 Columns: 8 Rows: 8 Tile motif: inset Palette: ocean Draw tile outlines: off
You get
Built a 8 × 8 square repeat covering 166 × 166 mm.

Options

Repeat counts
Rows and columns repeat the same lattice tile. Total cells and drawing elements remain capped.
SVG output
The file contains static vector geometry with declared dimensions; it is not a raster PNG export.

Supported inputs and limits

Supported finite geometric tile families and SVG only. No arbitrary imported shape tessellation, raster export or physical fabrication guarantee. Up to 2,500 tiles and 9,000 drawing elements. Square, triangle and hexagonal tile families only. Tile edge (mm): 4–100. Columns: 1–60. Rows: 1–60.

Where your input is processed

This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.

The repeat and the printed size are separate checks

The tile geometry repeats at its declared lattice offsets. A printer or design application can still rescale the finished drawing. Keep its dimensions with the file and test a small sample before using the pattern for a physical project.

Questions about Procedural Tessellation SVG Maker

Can I enlarge it without pixelation?

The exported drawing is vector SVG.

Does it export PNG?

This scope exports SVG rather than promising a raster conversion.

Will the printer keep its dimensions?

Check scaling in the application and print dialog.
