How to use Solid Geometry Calculator
- Choose the solid and a measurement-unit label.
- Enter its required positive dimensions in the same unit.
- Review volume, total surface area and the formulas.
Example: Solid Geometry Calculator
Solid Geometry Calculator: Cube: volume 27 cubic units; total surface area 54 square units.
Options
- Required dimensions
- Choose the solid before entering dimensions. Cone and pyramid height is perpendicular height, not the slant length.
- Common unit label
- The unit labels the result and does not convert any dimension. Convert measurements into one unit first.

Closed-solid area includes the bases
A cylinder includes both circular ends, while a cone includes its circular base. An open container needs a different area calculation. Right cone and centered square-pyramid assumptions matter; an off-center apex or irregular shape cannot be represented simply by entering its height.
Questions about Solid Geometry Calculator
Does total surface area include the bases?
Yes. Cylinder, cone and pyramid results include their base surfaces. They are closed-solid calculations.
Which height should I enter for a pyramid or cone?
Enter the perpendicular height. The pyramid must have its apex above the base centre. Slant length is calculated from height and base dimensions.
Does choosing a different unit convert my numbers?
No. It changes the unit label only. Enter every dimension in the same unit before calculating.
