Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
IDs distinguish tasks with similar titles
Every task needs a unique id, a title and one of Todo, Doing or Done. Notes are optional. Two tasks can have similar titles but cannot share an ID, because the board uses IDs to identify state changes. An empty array is a valid blank starting point, not an example of a populated project.
Changes are not saved automatically
The board lives in the current page until exported. Download JSON to retain the current statuses; the printable PDF is a snapshot for reading and writing rather than an editable project backup. JSON keeps Unicode, while the PDF uses the documented built-in font subset. Review the chosen output before leaving the tab.
Questions about Kanban Task Board
Where does the board save my tasks?
It keeps the current state in the open page. Nothing is automatically saved; use the JSON export if you want to reopen it later.
Can I move tasks using a keyboard?
Each task has labelled move controls. Tab to the control, choose the destination and activate it; dragging is not required.
Can several people edit the same board?
This page has no shared workspace or sync. Share an exported file if you need another person to review a copy.
