One browser-decodable MP4/MOV-family or WebM video. Up to 256 MiB, 60 minutes, 8.3 megapixels, one video track and at most one audio track. The full clip must be no more than 10 minutes. Output is a re-recorded WebM with no audio track.

How to use Remove Audio from Video

    1. Choose a short supported video whose soundtrack you want omitted.
    2. Run the recording with the page visible.
    3. Play the silent WebM and check its visual beginning, ending and duration.

    Example: Remove Audio from Video

Export visible frames without the source soundtrack.

    You add
Source: a two-second supported video containing a 440 Hz tone. Choose it in Local video and run removal.
    You get
The WebM contains one video track and zero audio tracks. Playback has no source tone; the video is a new native recording.

    Supported inputs and limits

Records the video without an audio track; it does not just lower the playback volume. Use a browser-decodable MP4/MOV-family or WebM with one video track and at most one audio track. Total selected input: 256 MiB; source frames: 8,294,400 pixels (4K). Sources may be up to 60 minutes, but whole-clip jobs require a clip of 10 minutes or less. Selected or combined output: up to 10 minutes and 128 MiB, 2,073,600 pixels (1080p) and 1,920 pixels per side. Recording runs in real time and the page must stay visible. WebM export re-encodes the media, so quality, frame timing and sound timing depend on the browser and device. Metadata, subtitles and extra tracks are not preserved. Seek cues are not built; check playback before using the file. Larger jobs need more device memory.

Removing audio does not remove all private information

The output has no audio track, but names, documents, faces or location clues can remain visible in its frames. Inspect the whole video before sharing it. This operation does not blur pictures, analyse content or provide a general privacy clearance.

A silent recording can still differ visually

The browser decodes and re-encodes the image sequence. Quality, frame timing and output size can change; it is not a lossless deletion of one stream from the original container. Metadata and subtitle tracks are not copied. Check the actual output where it will be used, especially if timing matters.

Questions about Remove Audio from Video

Is the audio merely set to zero volume?

No. The output recording stream excludes audio tracks entirely.

Does this preserve the original video encoding?

No. Frames are decoded and re-recorded as WebM.

How can I check the download?

Open it in a media player and inspect its tracks if needed; the intended output contains video only.
