How to use Browser Video Trimmer
- Choose a video and enter Start time and End time as offsets from its beginning.
- Keep the end within the source and the selected duration below the output limit.
- Run the trim with the page visible, then review the first and last moments and any audio.
Example: Browser Video Trimmer
Retain the middle two seconds of a four-second clip.
Options
- Start time (seconds)
- Start is the requested seek offset in seconds from the source beginning. It is not an exact frame number.
- End time (seconds)
- End must follow Start and stay within the clip. Their difference sets the intended interval; the result reports actual recorded duration.
Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
The cut is a new recording
Playback starts at the selected seek time and runs toward the end time while the browser records. Timing is approximate rather than sample- or frame-exact. If a precise edit point matters, inspect the exported clip in its intended player. The original video, metadata and encoding are not preserved as a lossless stream.
Leave room under the maximum
A selection nominally at the 20-second limit can overrun due to recording delays and be refused. Choose a shorter interval so the browser can finish within the actual-duration cap. An end before the start, outside the source or leaving no usable interval cannot produce a valid cut.
Questions about Browser Video Trimmer
Are trim boundaries frame-perfect?
No. Seeking and native recording can shift the selected boundaries slightly.
Does trimming avoid re-encoding?
No. Decoded playback is recorded as a new WebM, so quality and size may change.
Can I trim a long source to a short result?
A supported source may be up to 60 minutes, while the selected export must stay within 10 minutes.
