Options
- Quiet RMS threshold
- A higher, less negative threshold identifies more low-level material as quiet. Review the candidate list after changing it.
- Minimum quiet span and padding
- Minimum span ignores shorter pauses. Padding keeps material at both ends of each proposed cut and can make a short candidate too small to remove.

Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
Quiet does not always mean expendable
Breathing, room sound and pauses can fall below an RMS threshold. Raise or lower the threshold and rerun the review instead of assuming every candidate is unwanted. Padding retains some material beside the detected quiet span, but it cannot guarantee a natural join.
Approve the list for the current settings
IDs refer to the candidates calculated for the selected recording and settings. A changed threshold or file can produce a different list. Keep the source, review the new list and listen across each join; this tool does not add a crossfade or understand sentence boundaries.
