PCM16/24/32 or float32 RIFF WAV, mono/stereo, 8–96 kHz, up to 600 seconds and 128 MiB. Output must fit the same time and byte bounds.

1 leaves timing unchanged. 2 doubles speed and raises pitch by an octave; 0.5 halves speed and lowers it by an octave.

How to use Audio Speed and Pitch Changer

    1. Select a supported WAV and choose the linked speed/pitch multiplier.
    2. Check that slower playback will still fit the output time and byte limits.
    3. Run the resampling and listen to both duration and pitch in the downloaded WAV.

Example: Audio Speed and Pitch Changer

Raise playback speed and pitch together.

    You add
Source: a two-second mono 440 Hz WAV. Linked speed and pitch multiplier: 1.25.
    You get
The resampled WAV lasts approximately 1.6 seconds and its test tone is approximately 550 Hz. The original sample rate is retained.

    Options

    Linked speed and pitch multiplier
1 preserves the nominal pace. Values below 1 slow and lower pitch; values above 1 accelerate and raise pitch. It is a linked rate change.

    Supported inputs and limits

Supported bounded PCM/float RIFF WAV only, mono/stereo at 8–96 kHz, within 128 MiB and 600 seconds. Speed 0.5–2 uses linear resampling; pitch and duration change together. Output PCM16 WAV drops original metadata. No independent pitch control, pitch-preserving stretch or compressed audio codecs.

One multiplier controls two audible changes

The tool samples the input at a different pace. Multiplying by two halves duration and raises pitch by an octave; multiplying by one half doubles duration and lowers pitch by an octave. It does not provide independent tempo adjustment with preserved pitch, or independent pitch shifting at the original duration.

Resampling is not a mastering process

Linear interpolation creates a new sample sequence. It can alter high-frequency detail and introduce artifacts, particularly with large changes. Review speech intelligibility and tone quality instead of relying only on the reported duration. The output is PCM16 WAV, without source metadata or an MP3 encode.

Questions about Audio Speed and Pitch Changer

Can I change speed while preserving pitch?

No. This version links pitch and duration through resampling.

    Does this overwrite the input?

No. It produces a new downloadable WAV.

    Can resampling affect quality?

Yes. Linear interpolation and PCM16 quantization can alter the sound.
