How to use Sign PDF

Add one PDF. Choose the page where the visible signature belongs.
Type a name, draw with a pointer or touch, or upload a PNG of your signature. The typed and uploaded options work with a keyboard.
Set the left and bottom position in points, then choose a width. Seventy-two points equal one inch.
Select Place signature and check the downloaded PDF in a reader before sharing it.

Put a typed name near the bottom of the first page of a letter-size PDF.

You add

One-page letter-size PDF; Type a name: Alex Lee; Page number: 1; Left: 36 points; Bottom: 36 points; Width: 180 points.

You get

A new PDF has Alex Lee visibly placed on page 1 near the lower-left corner. The source PDF remains unchanged.

Options

Signature source: Choose a typed name, a pointer or touch drawing, or a PNG image. The drawing can be cleared before you save.
Page number: One page receives one visible mark. Count from page 1; a number beyond the document is refused.
Left and bottom edges: Enter positions in PDF points from the unrotated page edges. The page refuses a mark that would sit outside the page.
Signature width: Set a width from 24 to 600 points. Uploaded and drawn images keep their original proportions.

One PDF per run, up to 100 MiB and 200 pages. One visible mark is added to one page. Uploaded PNG images are limited to 4 MiB and 8 megapixels. Typed names use a PDF standard font that supports Latin letters and common accents; use PNG for other scripts. Coordinates refer to the unrotated PDF page and a mark outside the page is refused. Password-protected PDFs and PDFs with any signature field are refused, including empty fields, because changing them could interfere with the signing workflow. This visible mark is not a certificate-based digital signature, proof of identity or a guarantee that a document is legally signed. Check the result in a PDF reader before sharing it.

A visible mark on a PDF

A typed name, drawing or image can make a PDF page look signed. The mark is part of the page content in the downloaded copy. It is separate from a digital signature backed by a certificate, which a PDF reader can use to check document integrity and signer information. Use the method required by the person or organization receiving your document.

Questions about Sign PDF

Is this a certified digital signature?

No. This page adds a visible name or image to the PDF. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature or verify who placed the mark.

Can I use a keyboard?

Yes. Choose the typed or PNG option, enter the page and position with the labeled controls, and select Place signature. The drawing canvas uses a pointer or touch.

Can I move a signature after saving?

Run the tool again with the original PDF and change the position values. It creates a new copy each time. The original file is not edited.

Why is my PDF with a signature field refused?

Adding a visible mark to a PDF with a signature field could interfere with its signing workflow, even if the field is empty. Use a copy without signature fields for this tool.

Does the PDF leave my device?

The signature and PDF are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded by this tool.
