JPEG, PNG or WebP, 64 MiB and 24 megapixels. Up to 50 ordered arrow, box, text or blur layers; percentage coordinates and output-pixel sizes. Output is bounded to 2 megapixels. The PNG is flattened. Blur is a visual effect and does not securely remove private information.

Blur does not safely redact private data

Blur leaves information that may remain recognizable or recoverable. Use a suitable opaque redaction workflow for material that must be removed, then verify its output. The annotation PNG is a visual presentation copy without editable layers.

    Questions about Screenshot Annotation Tool

    Can I correct an annotation?

Yes. Select its layer, edit the supported values or remove it before export.

Does blur securely remove sensitive information?

No. Blur is a visual annotation and must not be treated as secure redaction.

Are annotations saved back into the original screenshot?

No. Export creates a new image; keep inputs separately if you need to revise them later.
