How to use Markdown to PDF
- Paste the supported Markdown and check its block structure.
- Choose paper size and text size, then create the PDF.
- Reopen the file and review headings, code wrapping and table content before printing.
Example: Markdown to PDF
Print a small notes document.
Options
- Markdown source
- Use the supported headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, fenced code and simple pipe tables. Raw HTML is printed as text; image references become placeholders without loading their URLs.
- PDF page size and text size
- A4 and US Letter change page dimensions. Text size is 8–18 points and affects wrapping and pagination; compare a printed page before creating a large packet.
Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
A typeset subset rather than a webpage printout
The PDF is composed from supported Markdown blocks. It does not run HTML, styles or scripts. Link labels remain readable without active PDF link actions, and remote images are not included. If source layout depends on a browser, compare that requirement with this deliberately simpler output.
Characters and long lines can stop export
Standard PDF fonts support Latin text and selected punctuation. Unsupported characters are refused instead of silently disappearing. Long code lines, tables and paragraphs can wrap differently from the source editor, so open the actual PDF and check breaks and column content.
Questions about Markdown to PDF
Will a remote Markdown image be fetched?
No. External images remain unfetched.
Does this render HTML embedded in Markdown?
Raw HTML is treated as text rather than executable markup.
Why can some characters be refused?
The PDF fonts support a defined character set. Refusal prevents a silent missing-glyph export.
