Check my sleep window controls

The local date and time you intend to start. Write the date as YYYY-MM-DD and the time as 24-hour HH:MM. The offset field next to it says which UTC offset that local time uses.

An explicit offset such as +06:00, -05:00 or Z. No time zone name is guessed from your device, so the same plan reads the same everywhere.

Your own chosen length, in minutes. The planner places that amount and does not suggest how long to sleep.

Leave empty when the offset does not change during the sleep. When it does change, enter the offset in force at the end, such as +05:00, and the printed end time uses it. The length itself stays exactly the minutes you entered.

One tab-separated row per commitment, exactly five columns. Each date, time and UTC offset is taken exactly as written, and the two instants are compared. When a clock repeats or jumps for daylight saving, keep the same date and change the offset, and the real duration is used. If the end instant is not later than the start, the row is refused so you can enter the correct date yourself. A commitment that runs past midnight needs its end date written on the next day. Up to 100 rows and 100,000 characters.

How to use User-Defined Sleep Schedule Planner

    1. Enter a start date, time, UTC offset, opportunity length and the offset for displaying the end.
    2. Add dated commitments with both endpoint offsets. Review actual elapsed overlaps and keep the dates explicit for overnight commitments.
    3. Download CSV for rows, JSON to continue editing later, or PDF for a printable copy. Review exports before sharing them.

    Example: User-Defined Sleep Schedule Planner

Compare an entered overnight window with an early shift.

    You add
Sleep opportunity start (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM): 2026-10-04 23:00 Start UTC offset: +06:00 Sleep opportunity length in minutes: 480 End UTC offset (optional): Commitments: label, start (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM), start offset, end (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM), end offset (tabs): Example early shift 2026-10-05 06:00 +06:00 2026-10-05 14:00 +06:00
    You get
    The 480 minute sleep opportunity overlaps 1 of 1 entered commitment. Sample rows: Example early shift | 2026-10-05 06:00 UTC+06:00 | 2026-10-05 14:00 UTC+06:00 | Yes, 60 min |

    Options

    Elapsed opportunity
The chosen minutes add to the actual start instant. Changing the display offset does not change that elapsed length.
    Commitments
Actual dates and offsets govern order. An earlier local end clock during a clock change may still be a later instant; a backwards instant is refused.

    Supported inputs and limits

Up to 100 commitments and 100,000 characters. The page does not select sleep needs, time zones or a circadian plan. Processing runs in the browser without uploading entries or automatic saving. JSON projects are limited to 100,000 bytes/characters. Saved files contain your supplied details. Printable reports use standard Latin fonts; unsupported characters are refused rather than omitted.

    Where your input is processed

This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.

Opportunity length is your own assumption

The planner places the entered number of minutes from the supplied start instant. An end offset changes its displayed local end time without changing that elapsed length. Commitments need actual dates and offsets at both ends. The output does not judge sleep need, treat shift-work problems or recommend a circadian schedule.

Questions about User-Defined Sleep Schedule Planner

Does it recommend a sleep duration?

No. You choose the length and the tool reports conflicts with the commitments you enter.

    How are clock changes represented?

Supply the UTC offset in force at each relevant endpoint. No time zone is guessed from your device.

Does a conflict change the plan automatically?

No. The overlap report helps you review your own schedule; it does not prescribe a replacement window.
