Questions about Syllable Counter

What happens to an unknown word?

It is listed as unknown; the result does not pretend its syllable count is zero.

Why can a word have a range?

The dataset may record pronunciations with different syllable counts.

Does this certify a poem’s metre?

No. Stress, dialect and performance affect metre beyond the recorded syllable counts.
