Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
Text extraction cannot recover an image-only page
A scanned page may look readable while having no stored text layer. This tool does not run OCR and refuses an entirely textless document. In a mixed document it reports pages without text instead of inventing their words. Check those pages separately before relying on the draft.
Reading order needs comparison with the source
Headings and list markers are estimated from supported stored text. Multi-column layouts, tables and unusual positioning can produce an order that differs from the page you see. Parser expansion can consume memory before all content limits are checked, so byte limits do not guarantee peak device memory. Use smaller files and retain the PDF as the reference.
Questions about PDF to Word Text Draft
Can this convert a scanned document?
No. It uses stored text and does not perform OCR.
Will the DOCX look like the original PDF?
No. It is a paragraph draft without original page layout, images or tables.
Why are some PDFs refused?
Rotated text, unsupported structures or resource limits can prevent a reliable draft.
