Supported inputs and limits

100,000 input characters, 5,000 nodes and nesting depth 32. Supported text structure and safe HTTP(S) links only. Tables, forms and active content are omitted with a report. Images become alternative text; no image download, CSS preservation or complete HTML round trip. Markdown output is capped at 250,000 characters; reversed ordered lists are refused.

Where your input is processed

This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.

Conversion is separate from publication

Scripts and unsupported active elements are omitted during inert parsing. The Markdown destination still decides how links and syntax are rendered. Check omitted tables or other meaningful structures before discarding the HTML original.
