How to use Text Translator

  1. Paste Text to translate and name the Target language. Include the intended locale or register in that language field when useful.
  2. Optionally add up to 30 glossary lines as source term = preferred translation. Use each source term once and keep the glossary within 1,000 characters.
  3. Select Translate text and complete browser verification when prompted. Compare names, numbers, negatives and conditions with the source before judging fluent phrasing.
  4. Review Glossary checks in context. Yes means both literal terms occur in their respective source and result texts; an unused source term receives No even when no translation error occurred.

Example: Text Translator

Translate a request while preserving a chosen project term.

You add
Text to translate: Please send the project update before Friday. Target language: Spanish Glossary: project update = actualización del proyecto
You get
A Spanish translation preserves the Friday deadline and the preferred project phrase. A glossary check reports whether the literal source and target terms were found.

Options

Target language
Name the language and, when useful, the locale or register: for example, French for Canada or formal Japanese.
Glossary
Use one unique source term = preferred translation pair per nonblank line, up to 30 pairs. Checks are case-sensitive substring matches. An inflected form, changed capitalization or source term absent from the submitted passage can produce No.

Supported inputs and limits

  • Text to translate allows 8,000 characters, Target language 100 and Glossary 1,000, within a 12,000-character combined cap.
  • The glossary accepts at most 30 pairs with unique source terms; returned translation text is bounded to 24,000 characters.
  • Glossary checks use case-sensitive literal substring presence in both the source and translation.
  • They do not enforce whole-word matching or verify grammar, meaning or pronunciation.
  • A pair whose source term is absent is marked No rather than treated as a successfully translated term.

Review dates, names, units, uncertainty and omissions against the original.

This produces a text draft, not a certified translation.

Where your input is processed

Your input is uploaded to this site and sent to a configured AI provider. If a provider fails, the request may be sent to the next eligible provider. Check its result before use. Private inputs and results expire within one hour and are excluded from site backups; temporary files are removed by scheduled cleanup. Provider retention rules may differ. Avoid submitting passwords or highly sensitive information.

Review facts separately from fluent phrasing

A fluent translation can still change a date, omit a negative or turn a qualified statement into a firm promise. Compare numbers, names, units and conditions first. Then check whether the tone fits the reader. A glossary is useful for product names and repeated specialist terms, but forcing the same wording into every sentence may make the result unnatural. The visible checks tell you where a literal preference was followed; a person who knows both languages must assess the overall meaning.

Questions about Text Translator

Can I translate legal or medical documents?

You can review a short passage, but use a qualified translator for material where a mistranslation could cause harm or affect rights. The tool cannot certify specialist accuracy.

Why is a glossary term marked as missing?

The translation may use a different spelling, grammatical form or synonym. Inspect the phrase in context before changing it simply to satisfy a literal check.

Does it detect the source language?

The model infers the source language from the submitted text. Mixed languages, names and short phrases can be ambiguous. Review ambiguous material with someone who can compare the translation with the original.
