How to use Spreadsheet Formula to Pandas Converter

  1. Enter one supported scalar formula.
  2. Map spreadsheet columns and enter the first spreadsheet data row.
  3. Inspect generated code and assumptions before running it in your own environment.

Example: Spreadsheet Formula to Pandas Converter

=SUM(A2:A4), with A mapped to amount and first data row 2.

You add
Spreadsheet formula: =SUM(A2:A4) Column mapping (JSON): {"A":"amount"} Spreadsheet row for DataFrame row 0: 2
You get
Generated a scalar Pandas template. No code or formula was executed. Sample rows: A2 | amount | 0; A4 | amount | 2.

Options

Column mapping
Map spreadsheet letters to the exact DataFrame column names. A mapping selects a column; it does not load a workbook or create that DataFrame.
First data row
Enter the spreadsheet row corresponding to DataFrame row 0. With first row 2, A2:A4 maps to zero-based rows 0 through 2.

Supported inputs and limits

Up to 4,096 characters, 512 tokens, depth 32 and 10,000 referenced rows. Supports documented arithmetic/comparisons, IF, ABS, ROUND and numeric aggregate ranges in one mapped column. No workbook evaluation, named/structured/external references, lookups, array formulas or execution of generated code. Review Pandas types, missing values and numeric behavior.

Check data types before running the template

The generated Python assumes numeric mapped columns and Pandas in your own environment. Aggregates skip missing values, while direct blank-cell arithmetic can differ from Excel. The reference table makes the row translation visible. Review the Python and the intended cells before running it; this page neither executes the code nor evaluates the original formula.

Questions about Spreadsheet Formula to Pandas Converter

Is the generated code executed here?

No. You receive code to inspect and run elsewhere.

Can every Excel function be translated?

No. Unsupported functions and reference forms are refused.

Can missing values behave differently?

Yes. Review the explicit numeric and missing-value assumptions in the generated code.
