Options
- Header mappings
- Map exact CSV headings to given name, family name, display name, email and optional contact fields. Empty optional mapping boxes skip those fields.
- Display name and phone text
- A mapped display name supplies FN; otherwise given and family names are combined. Phone values are preserved as supplied without country or number-format guessing.
Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
A contact card contains supplied details only
The download uses vCard 4.0 text with the supported mapped fields. It does not verify an email address, find missing contact information or synchronize an address book. Review the file and import a small sample into the intended contacts application first.
Mapping choices can leave fields out
Only mapped supported fields are written. Keep the CSV if it contains additional notes or columns you need later. vCard escaping protects field structure, but the destination application can display or support properties differently.
Questions about CSV to vCard Contact Converter
Does this upload contacts to an account?
No. You download a file locally and choose where to import it. Test a small sample in your intended contacts application.
Can a comma in a name break the contact file?
Text punctuation and newlines are escaped according to the supported vCard text fields, and long lines fold without splitting UTF-8 characters.
Are duplicate contacts merged?
No. Each accepted data row becomes a contact. Review duplicates before importing the file.
