YYYY:MM:DD HH:MM:SS with no time zone. Replace mode writes it; change mode updates the stored dates.

Date-correction mode. A fixed shift such as -05:30 or +02:00, applied to every existing capture date.

How to use Remove EXIF Metadata

    1. Add up to 50 JPEGs, within 20 MiB in total. PNG, WebP, HEIC and TIFF files are refused.
    2. Leave What to do on Remove listed metadata, or switch to Inspect fields first to see what the photo carries.
    3. Select Remove metadata, then open the exported JPEG and check it before you share it.

    Example: Remove EXIF Metadata

A JPEG with a camera name, a capture date and GPS coordinates in its EXIF block.

    You add
One JPEG with those fields, What to do on Remove listed metadata and no replacement values.
    You get
An exported JPEG named after the source with -metadata-removed added. The listed metadata is removed, the artist and capture date read as None, and no GPS is reported.

Replacement textASCII, capped at 100 characters
This page reads up to 50 JPEGs per run, up to 12 MiB and 40 megapixels each, within 20 MiB total. PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF and RAW files are not handled. Remove mode keeps EXIF orientation and ICC color profiles. Unrecognized APP1 and APP13 blocks are removed without inspection; other application segments remain and are named in the result. Picture data is copied without re-encoding. Replacement values are ASCII and capped at 100 characters. Check each exported file before sharing it.

Location data hides in more than one place

GPS coordinates usually live in the EXIF block, but they are not the only trace of a place. XMP can carry a position or a place name, and some editors write text into a comment segment. That is why the result lists what was removed, what was kept and what was not inspected rather than calling the file spotless. The exported table shows the fields it could read.

    Questions about Remove EXIF Metadata

Does removing metadata reduce the picture quality?

No. The JPEG image data is copied as it is and only the metadata containers are dropped, so nothing is re-compressed. The export is a new file and your original is left untouched.

Can I strip location data from a PNG, WebP or HEIC photo?

No. This page reads JPEG only, and it refuses other formats rather than passing them through with their metadata intact. Export or convert the photo to JPEG first if it has to be handled here.

Why does the export keep the orientation tag?

A portrait photo may rely on that tag to display the right way up, so removing it would turn the picture sideways in viewers that honor it. The tag survives while the camera, date and location fields are removed.

What does the result mean by segments that were not inspected?

JPEG can carry application segments beyond the ones this tool reads. The result names unrecognized blocks and says which were removed and which remain. Check the export before you share it.

Can I remove metadata from several photos at once?

Yes. Add up to 50 JPEGs within 20 MiB total. Each result is listed, and multiple output files are downloaded together in a ZIP. Check the results for any file that was refused.
