A local worked example using the inputs and settings below for interval timer.
Options
- Intervals and repetitions
- Enter a name and duration in seconds separated by a tab. The repeated total is planned time, not a claim about elapsed wall-clock precision.
- Sound
- Sound is optional and depends on browser permission and the active page. Keep the visible state available when audio is blocked.
Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
A browser tab is not a precision timer
Background throttling and device sleep can delay visible or audible changes. The tool tracks its stated timing model and provides pause/reset controls. Check the current interval after returning to the page, and avoid using it for safety-critical timing.
Questions about Interval Timer
Will it alert me while the computer sleeps?
There is no such guarantee. The browser may suspend updates and sound until it runs again.
Does pausing restart the current interval?
No. It retains the remaining time so resuming continues the paused sequence.
What does reset do?
Reset timer stops the sequence and returns to the start of the current plan. The page’s Reset action also restores the example inputs.
