How to use Semantic Photo Search
- Choose 1 to 12 PNG, JPEG or WebP images that you have permission to process. These files form this request’s collection; there is no permanent photo library.
- In Photo description to find, describe visible details that distinguish the wanted image, such as objects, colors or composition. The description allows 500 characters.
- Select Find matching photos and complete browser verification when prompted. Each uploaded image keeps its source ID, including non-matches.
- Compare ranked matches with their original-ID previews, then inspect remaining captions and uncertainty notes. A model rank is not a match probability or proof of a person’s identity.
Example: Semantic Photo Search
Find an astronaut among three space photographs.
Options
- Search description
- Describe visible objects, colors, actions or composition. This tool is not for identifying people or inferring sensitive personal traits.
- Private collection
- Images are processed together for this request. There is no saved library or permanent search index; submit a new request for a different collection.
Supported inputs and limits
- Choose 1 to 12 PNG, JPEG or WebP images, each up to 5 MiB, 12 megapixels and 8,192 pixels per side.
- The combined upload limit is 20 MiB and is checked again after image cleaning; a cleaned file must also fit the per-file limit.
- These are encoded file-size limits, not the images’ uncompressed pixel-memory size.
- The service decodes and re-encodes supported images, removes metadata and assigns source IDs before provider processing.
- Private inputs, results and previews expire within one hour.
More details
There is no saved collection index for future searches.
Captions and rankings are model judgments about visible content.
They do not establish identity, sensitive traits, an exact location or a match probability.
Check the source previews and non-matches yourself.
Where your input is processed
Your input is uploaded to this site and sent to a configured AI provider. If a provider fails, the request may be sent to the next eligible provider. Check its result before use. Private inputs and results expire within one hour and are excluded from site backups; temporary files are removed by scheduled cleanup. Provider retention rules may differ. Avoid submitting passwords or highly sensitive information.
Describe visible differences between candidates
A useful query mentions details that separate one image from the others, such as a yellow door beside a blue bicycle or a bridge reflected in still water. Review the thumbnails and source IDs together so a convincing caption does not cause you to select the wrong file. Look through non-matches too: a weak image, unusual crop or small object can cause the model to miss a relevant photograph.
Questions about Semantic Photo Search
Does the model return links to other photos?
No. Matches must use IDs from your uploaded set. The site supplies owner-bound private previews for those original IDs.
Is this face recognition?
No. Search by visible content. Names, identities, sensitive traits and hidden information are outside the intended scope.
Can I search the same collection later?
This version keeps no permanent image index. Results and private previews expire; upload the collection again if you need a new request.
