      Options

      Operation
Inspect lists supported entries, Extract returns their original bytes, and Create archives the selected files. Choose the input belonging to the selected operation.
      Names and paths
Creation uses selected basenames. Extraction downloads files with disambiguating names; it does not recreate a directory tree on disk or execute entries.

      Supported inputs and limits

At most 20 MiB compressed/selected input, 32 MiB actual expanded data and 1,000 entries. Stored/deflate entries only within the documented structural restrictions. Encryption, ZIP64, descriptors, symlinks, unsafe names and path aliases are refused. Files are downloaded, not opened or scanned. Creation uses selected basenames.

      Where your input is processed

Archive structure is not a safety scan

The reader checks supported ZIP structure, actual expansion and integrity within its limits. An extracted file can still contain unwanted content. Encrypted archives, ZIP64 and other unsupported structures are refused instead of guessed. Keep the original archive and review individual files with the application that will consume them before sharing or opening them.

Questions about ZIP Archive Extractor and Creator

      Will extraction execute a file?

No. It creates downloads without opening embedded files.

Can encrypted or ZIP64 archives be opened?

Which folder names does creation use?

It uses the selected file basenames rather than recreating a local folder tree.
