How to use Test Case Generator
- Paste the requirements and add relevant test context.
- Choose the number of cases, from 1 to 12.
- Select Draft test cases, verify your browser and inspect every action and expected result before exporting.
Example: Test Case Generator
Make acceptance checks from a small feature requirement.
Options
- Case count
- Use a small count for a narrow requirement. More cases do not establish completeness or reveal every failure mode.
- Exports
- CSV suits a review spreadsheet. Gherkin creates a Feature with one Scenario per case, When actions and Then expected results. Given steps appear only when preconditions were supplied; extra steps use And. A test framework still needs step definitions, configuration and data.
Supported inputs and limits
- Requirements allow 7,000 characters.
- Each case has bounded single-line steps.
- Generated cases are drafts; they are not executed and have no step definitions.
- A valid feature file does not prove the described software works.
Where your input is processed
Your input is uploaded to this site and sent to a configured AI provider. If a provider fails, the request may be sent to the next eligible provider. Check its result before use. Private inputs and results expire within one hour and are excluded from site backups; temporary files are removed by scheduled cleanup. Provider retention rules may differ. Avoid submitting passwords or highly sensitive information.
Make the expected result observable
Replace vague checks such as works correctly with a visible result, state change or error message. Review whether the preconditions make each case repeatable and whether the actions describe what the tester actually does. Use the source excerpts to identify gaps or assumptions, then add risk-based cases yourself. A short, well-specified case is more useful than a long list of steps whose outcome cannot be judged.
Questions about Test Case Generator
How does this differ from unit tests?
These are behavior and acceptance cases written as actions and outcomes. The unit test tool produces programming-language test code for a supplied function or module.
Can I run the Gherkin file immediately?
A compatible framework still needs step definitions, configuration and test data. Review the scenarios before implementing those bindings.
Does every case have source evidence?
Each includes an exact requirement quote. That helps locate its basis but does not prove the case correctly interprets the whole requirement.
