How to use Redaction Verification Report
- Supply the original text and proposed redacted text using the supported input described beside the controls.
- Review the selected options and the declared scope, then run the redaction verification report.
- Read the result and unresolved findings before downloading or sharing a report. The original input is not changed.
Example: Redaction Verification Report
Compare original and proposed redacted material against explicit sensitive terms/rules. This example uses synthetic public data.
Options
- Sensitive terms
- List the exact terms you want checked. They are sensitive input and are omitted from the downloadable findings.
- Matching mode
- Choose the intended case behavior. Literal matching avoids running a user-supplied regular expression, but it will not infer variants or identities.
Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
A zero count has a defined scope
Zero means the selected literal terms were not found under the chosen matching rules. Other sensitive text, images, metadata and alternate spellings can remain. Review the whole redacted artifact and the context in which it will be shared; this text comparison cannot establish complete anonymization.
Questions about Redaction Verification Report

No. It covers only the entered terms and matching rules.
Are sensitive terms in the report?
No. Findings identify terms by position and residual counts rather than their values.
Does it redact the original?
No. It checks a supplied proposed version without changing either input.
