How to use PGP Public Key Inspector
- Paste a supported public-key block or keep the included synthetic example.
- Run the local packet inspection and read its algorithm and fingerprint details.
- Confirm key identity through an independent trusted channel before using the key.
Example: PGP Public Key Inspector
Decode the included synthetic public key without trusting its user ID.
Supported inputs and limits
Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
A user ID is a claim inside the key material
Decoding a name or email from a public block does not verify that person’s identity. A fingerprint identifies the parsed key, not its owner’s trustworthiness. This inspector does not establish signature validity, revocation status or a web of trust. The small synthetic RSA example illustrates parsing and is not a recommended production key.
Keep private key material out of this workflow
Only public version 4 structures in the documented subset are supported. A parser report is not an invitation to paste secret armor, and unsupported or malformed structures are refused. Read the algorithm and packet limitations before comparing outputs from a different OpenPGP format or version.
Questions about PGP Public Key Inspector

No. Verify the fingerprint and identity through a trusted independent channel.
Can I paste my private key?
No. Private and secret material is refused and should never be pasted here.
Are signatures and revocation verified?
No. This is a packet metadata inspector.
