How to use Color Palette Generator
- Enter an opaque sRGB base color.
- Choose a hue harmony and the supported tint or shade options.
- Review the values and export the palette.
Example: Color Palette Generator
Base #ff0000 with complementary harmony.
Options
- Hue harmony
- Choose how the base hue is spaced to produce the harmony colors. These HSL relationships do not rate the palette for readability or perceptual similarity.
- Tints and shades
- Counts apply to every harmony color. Each increment mixes encoded sRGB channels with white or black, so compare the resulting values rather than assuming equal visual steps.

Where your input is processed
This tool processes your input in this browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to UseFreeTools. Check this tool's limits for anything it may save on your device.
Select colors for an actual role
Decide which value is a surface, text color, border or accent before using the palette in an interface. Hue spacing and optional PNG strips help compare candidates, but contrast must be checked for the exact foreground/background pair and text size. The generated colors do not automatically become theme variables or change another page.
Questions about Color Palette Generator
Does complementary mean accessible?
No. Hue separation does not establish text contrast, focus visibility or color-blind usability.
Why can gray produce a limited palette?
A gray color has no meaningful saturation, so changing hue alone may leave it visually unchanged.
Does this sample an image?
No. It derives colors from your entered base and the selected mathematical harmony.
