How to use Product Description Generator
- Paste Product CSV with the exact header id,name, attributes. Give every row a unique ID, a nonblank product name and factual attributes.
- Quote any cell containing commas, quotes or line breaks. Audience or shop voice can guide wording, but specifications must come from the product’s own row.
- Select Draft descriptions and complete browser verification when prompted. Review each short description against its named source product, including units and any unqualified measurement.
- Check Warnings for missing facts or review needs. Sparse attributes should produce short copy rather than invented benefits, certifications or compatibility claims.
- Download CSV for ID, Product and Description columns. Download JSON also retains each description’s source quotes; map the columns and IDs to your own catalogue before importing anything.
Example: Product Description Generator
Draft copy for two products without adding a new specification.
Options
- Product CSV
- Use standard comma-separated rows. Quote a cell that contains a comma or line break, and keep the header order exactly as shown.
- Copy context
- Describe the intended reader or shop voice. Product claims should still come from each row's attributes.
Supported inputs and limits
- Use 1 to 50 rows within 11,000 CSV characters.
- Audience or shop voice allows 600 characters, within the 12,000-character combined cap.
- IDs are nonblank, unique and at most 100 characters.
- Names and attribute cells allow 2,000 characters, and a name must also fit 2,000 UTF-8 bytes, so non-ASCII text can reach that size limit sooner.
- Returned descriptions are bounded to 600 characters and 2,000 UTF-8 bytes.
More details
Source quotes must occur in that product’s own name or attributes, including at least one attributes excerpt.
These checks preserve row coverage and traceability, not factual correctness of the prose.
Review every specification and benefit before publishing.
CSV prefixes potentially active formula cells with an apostrophe to keep them as text; it is a draft export rather than a shop-specific import package.
No store connection, product lookup or publication is performed.
Where your input is processed
Your input is uploaded to this site and sent to a configured AI provider. If a provider fails, the request may be sent to the next eligible provider. Check its result before use. Private inputs and results expire within one hour and are excluded from site backups; temporary files are removed by scheduled cleanup. Provider retention rules may differ. Avoid submitting passwords or highly sensitive information.
Separate a benefit from an unsupported promise
A product description can explain a supplied feature in ordinary language, but it should not turn an assumption into a specification. Steel and 250 ml are source facts; temperature retention and food-safety certification require separate evidence. Review claims about compatibility, safety, environmental impact and warranties especially carefully. Stable product IDs make it possible to compare the draft with your source catalogue and correct an individual row without guessing which item it describes.
Questions about Product Description Generator
Can I import the CSV straight into my shop?
Check its columns against your shop's import format first. Review every description and map the retained IDs to the right products before publishing.
Does it know my products from their names?
The supplied attributes are the factual source. A familiar-looking name is not evidence of a feature, certification, warranty or compatibility claim.
Why do some spreadsheet cells have an apostrophe?
The export adds one where a value could be interpreted as a formula. This helps keep product text as data when opened in spreadsheet software.
